Preheat your oven to 450. By the time your oven has reached 450 degrees, you will have the pizza prepped, the table set and the drinks poured. This meal is, of course, a Trader Joe's special.
I have several of these in my freezer at any given time because they are so easy to prepare! Begin by unwrapping your dough - grab a handful of wheat flour and work into the dough, stretching it outwards. You don't even need to use a rolling pin. Sometimes you end up with a circle, sometimes a rectangle. Two of these pizzas easily feed my family of four.
Recipe #1 (Pesto Pizza)
This is for Julia and I! Note that all ingredients are from trader joe's.
Smear pizza crust with premade pesto in a jar. Sprinkle with pine nuts, and use kitchen scissors to chop up jarred artichoke hearts. Add a light layer of shredded parmesan. Sometimes I add chicken!
Recipe #2 (Traditional Pizza)
This is for Mike and Jack. One portion is straight pizza sauce and cheese. The other portion is pizza sauce, chopped red bell peppers, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and italian seasoning.
Bake for 9 minutes @ 450 degrees.
yum!
ps - the best part about this meal is that it healthy and doesn't require many fresh ingredients - just cheese and whatever veggies you have on hand (I had red bell pepper and basil).
