A gift card for Amazon (been there, don't that)
Another coffee mug? A fruit cake?
What is the ideal gift for a teacher? I like to think that it is something heartfelt from all the children in the class, an item that shows effort on their part, and isn't very expensive.
Check out these teacher gifts, below. They can be ordered on snapfish.com or kodakgallery.com for about $30 plus shipping. Allow plenty of time for delivery!!
#1 This gift is great for a teacher of young children like K and incorporates three items per child: a water color they did for a gala project (that I scanned), an individual photo (room parents always take these anyway), and a short quote that the parent can email to you. Each page is a little snapshot of that particular child.

#2 This gift is done by older children. Each child was asked to create a single page ~ a holiday tribute to their teacher. Children were provided with the option of an original poem, a drawing, a holiday tradition or a recipe. The kids got really creative! Their pieces of art were subsequently photographed / scanned and imported into a photo book. The book can be further decorated with photos from the year. Easy and memorable!
~ This is also a great gift for soccer coaches, sunday school teachers, or anyone involved with a group.
Did I mention to allow plenty of time for shipping?
Our class party is in two days and our class gift is still somewhere between cyberspace, UPS and my mailbox. Arghhh!
