After taking down the bunk beds and covering up the wall mural, Jack's room was one boring place. (As opposed to Julia's girly funky hip preteen hangout.)
A few inexpensive and easy changes transformed his room into a fun space age /star wars space.
1) Cheerful, characterless and fresh duvet cover.
2) Simple geometric wall art from IKEA - these are literally stickers that you adhere to the wall in random patterns. Definitely adds to that space age / star wars effect.
3) Clone Wars photo gallery - these frames are $2 each and I filled them with free pics I downloaded from google images (go to google, type in Star Wars Clone Wars, and review the 'images' results). Note that to keep a uniform border between the pictures, I taped them off with 1" masking tape between pictures.
4) A quick and dirty outline of C3PO in silver paint. Jack was not impressed. "He's not really one of the Clone Wars characters MOM". Oh well, I tried.
He loves his new room! Jack and his buddy checked out the photo gallery to try and figure out which type of Star Wars Clone Wars game they were going to play! (Cartoon vs. Real Life). Ha ha, happy that Star Wars is still alive after all these years!
